Hayes is a company of real people. We’d like you to get to know us and the ways we strive to provide personalized service to you, our clients. This month, let us introduce you to another valuable contributor to the Hayes mission of providing fiercely-unbiased evidence, and our product owner of client-led product innovation. Meet Marco Angeli.
Marco joined Hayes in 2015 as the Innovation Product Owner. He serves as the advocate for product-based client feedback and manages agile product development process. He also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). Marco specifically focuses on new product innovations utilizing the Stage-Gate method. In order to drive product innovation, Marco visits the clients on-site and facilitates:
- Face-to-face interactions to share information.
- User forums and round table discussions to justify new products, enhancements, and possible new services pre-sales discovery and post-sales implementation planning as part of the product development process.
"'The work we do here has a significant impact on the development of healthcare coverage policies. That fact challenges me to work hard to make sure that our products meet our client’s needs so in turn they can support their clients’ needs.'"
Marco graduated from Slippery Rock University with a BS in Geography (GIS) and Environmental Studies. He began his career working on and managing car navigation map databases. From there, he managed map analysis solutions for multiple law enforcement, public safety, and education agencies from across the United States. Prior to joining Hayes, Marco worked for a medical simulation company that offered simulation-based software solutions for healthcare training environments. There he held the role of product manager of their flagship solution and new innovations.
“Culture, balance, and the outdoors are very important in my life,” says Marco. “A hard-working, family-focused culture, as well as the ability to balance work and life are priorities at the top of my list. Additionally, the work we do here has a significant impact on the development of healthcare coverage policies. That fact challenges me to work hard to make sure that our products meet our client’s needs so in turn they can support their clients’ needs.”
